Tadley XC - Cancellation

It is with considerable regret that I have to advise that we have to cancel this seasons Tadley TVXC fixture on 19th January.

We have received communication from an individual who claims to administer the tract of land we run on stating that we cannot hold an event there due to it upsetting the balance between preserving rights of access and the need to protect fauna and flora. This view was further communicated to us by the gamekeeper at our Tadley Xmas XC event held last Sunday who said that the communication we received was genuine. We had hoped to secure the future of the Tadley XC fixture by hosting it on a course that exclusively used public rights of way. Our attempts to engage with the landowner (whom we believe is based in the Midlands) have failed to get any response. The communication received had many inaccurate statements about our event which is very frustrating.

This is really disappointing, as we enjoy hosting you all and always appreciate your feedback on our course, which we know was always popular. At the current time Tadley Runners do not wish to withdraw from being a host club and we will attempt to investigate an alternative venue for next season.
