Provisional dates for two events are:
10 November 2013 Datchet. This is remembrance Sunday and as tradition rightly demands we will observe a 2 minute silence.
24 November 2013 Sandhurst.
Bracknell results are now final.
The results of Bracknell's race are now final.
Congratulations to Reading for winning the final race in the series and Sandhurst for winning the league.
We look forward to meeting you all again at the start of the next season in November.
BFR Updated Results
The provisional results for the event held last Sunday at Lightwater have now been updated for all amendments advised by team managers and captains.
Any additional adjustments should be advised to team managers and captains in the usual way.
We at BFR would like to thank all of you for making the race both competitive and fun and we very much look forward to seeing you all once again in the autumn.
Bracknell Forest Runners - Lightwater Country Park - Sunday 24th February 2013
BFR welcomes TVXC to the final league race of the season. The race will once again be held at Lightwater Country Park, Lightwater, Surrey, GU18 5RG with the usual 11.00am start.
The venue is easily found being just off the A322 to the south of Junction 3 of the M3. After leaving the M3 proceed south on the A322, almost immediately turn right into Guildford Road and then third right into The Avenue. The venue is at the far end of The Avenue.
We apologise for the limited parking which we have to share with other users of the park, but the good news is it‘s free. Please car share as far as possible. Also experience shows that parking can take longer than you might think given the toing and froing of others (particularly footballer’s) cars.
This year’s race will be over more or less the same course as last year. It’s not considered suitable for spikes and we hope there will be no conflicts with bikes this year.
Toilets are available at the ranger station. Please do not use the toilets in the gym as this is a privately operated club not a public facility.
Refreshments will be available at the finish.
The country park is a site of significant scientific interest. Please help us by ensuring that all litter is properly disposed of and we leave the site in an even better state than it was when we arrived.
