Tadley Runners fixture - 21st January 2018

Start – 11.00am, Place – Hurst Community College, Brimpton Road, Tadley, RG26 5NL

From M3: Leave at Junction 6, follow ring road A339, then North on A340 (signposted Aldermaston) until you reach Tadley.
From M4: Leave at Junction 12 , follow A4 to Padworth, then South on A340 (through Aldermaston) then onto Tadley.
In Tadley the route to the Hurst will be signposted.

Parking – At the school, please car share where possible. There is no parking at the start.
Toilets – available at the Hurst school. There are no toilets at the start area.

Would club reps please collect team sheets from me at the start (not at the school)
The start is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the car park and will be marked with signs and tape. Same course as last year but hopefully not frozen solid this time. The course is 5.4 miles and comprises 2 different laps and is suitable for spikes (but note that the walk/jog to the start is tarmac). Tokens will be given to finishers, please hand these in to your club representative.

Refreshments will served in the school hall adjacent to the car park at the school. Please - absolutely no muddy shoes in the hall.
Finally – a plea. Please could runners NOT use the drinking water tap by the school outdoor eating area to clean their shoes.

Reading roadrunners - 14 Jan 2018, 11am

Reading Roadrunners are looking forward to welcoming you to their new venue of:

Ashenbury Park
Woodley
RG5 4RS.

Please do not attempt to reach the venue via Charvil ford, this is not a shortcut even if Sat Nav says so.

The course is 3 laps (2 long & 1 short) on grass and woodlands of 5.8 miles around Ashenbury park and the woodlands of Aldermoors nature reserve. It is suitable for spikes.

From the car park situated in Waingels school, Waingels road RG5 4RF, there is a short walk (5/7min) to the race HQ, the toilets and the start.

The start being in the vicinity of a playground please refrain from using the bushes, instead use the toilets and urinal provided on Ashenbury car park.

We will be using finishing tokens for this race, please return these to your club rep.

Sandhurst Joggers - 26th November 2017

Sandhurst Joggers are looking forward to welcoming club members and their supporters to our cross country event.

Time: 11:00am

We have an exciting new venue for our cross country event this year. This is at Lord Wandsworth College (http://www.lordwandsworth.org/).

It is a two lap course which goes through woods and farm land.

It is not suitable for spikes but will be muddy and hilly!!

You must enter the school through the main gate. Car parking will be well signposted and is a little bit of walk from the venue (10 mins maximum). The parking will be free this year but is very limited so please car share where possible. Once you have got to the school please follow sign posts to Sutton Hall where there will be access to toilets and changing areas.

Runners will not be allowed to wear shoes inside as the venue has a carpet so please be prepared (as we do at Tadley) to remove your shoes and leave them outside and please DO NOT give any of our marshals grief.

Handy Cross - 3rd December 2017

Handy Cross Runners is pleased to welcome club members and supporters to our cross country race in Bradenham Woods by kind permission of the National Trust.

Directions: From junction 4 on the M40 take the A4010 signposted towards Aylesbury. You will cross 4 roundabouts until you come to a T junction on the A40. Turn left along the A40 still following signs to Aylesbury. At the next roundabout take the second exit signposted Aylesbury on the A4010. After about 1 mile you will go under a railway bridge and after another mile you will go past the Red Lion pub on the corner of Bradenham Woods Lane continue along the A4010 for another half mile until you see a track on the right, follow this track up and marshals will direct you to park in the field.

Sat Nav users: The post code for the Red Lion is HP14 4HF which is probably the nearest property to the parking area.

Parking: Car parking is in the field by kind permission of the local farmer. There will be a nominal charge of £1 which is given to the farmer.

Start / Finish: From the car park the finish can be found to the other side of the hedge together with toilets should you need it. Any kit can be left at the finish area. The start is about 400m further up the access road and is about a 10 minute walk, so please ensure you leave enough time to get to the start. The course will be the same as last year.

Race Administration: We will be using discs for the first time this year. Please return these to your club rep.

Datchet Dashers - 12th November 2017

Date: Sunday 12th November 2016
Time: 11:02 (after the minute's silence)

Place: The Brocas, Eton. Nearest postcode is SL4 6BW (Waterman's Arms). This year the start and finish will be at the far end of The Brocas to try and avoid conflict with the swans and residents!

Please note that there is no parking at the venue and very limited parking in Eton. You can park near our clubhouse (Home Park) and walk over the bridge into Eton then bear left onto The Brocas or you can use the local car parks - the parking beyond our club is free on Sundays.

Following several rather irate complaints from residents we will be providing toilets for the race. Please make use of these or the nearby public toilets (Alexandra Gardens or Home Park) rather than doing anything in public which may jeopardise the future of the race at this venue.

The course is not suitable for spikes.

Finishing disks will be handed out to the finishers. Please return these disks to your club rep.

Guests are welcome £4.00 per head.
